Our annual residential Summer School offers Choir members an intensive week of music-making and fun. The week is action packed, with classes, coaching, rehearsals, fantastic food and various evening entertainment and there are many chances to perform in a safe and supportive environment. Come prepared to dress up, try some different styles of music, have a laugh and make new friends. We stage both an opera and a musical, work as a choir and in smaller groups, and put together a scratch orchestra and other ensembles. The week finishes with a family concert, which parents and friends are welcome to attend. The age range is 9 - 18. Previously, have have put on a pirate-themed musical for our own enjoyment, and Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Iolanthe' as the final show. This year we are planning to stage 'Orpheus in the Underworld' complete with can can!
